Healing Village Privacy Policy
HEALING VILLAGE
PRIVACY POLICY
Effective/Last Updated: September 2026
Healing Village respects your privacy and understands that the nature of our work may sometimes involve personal and sensitive information.
This Privacy Policy explains how Healing Village, operated by Dagmar Bohmova, ABN 67 238 706 456, collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information.
We aim to handle personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy law, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles where they apply.
The OAIC says an APP privacy policy should explain the kinds of information collected, how it is collected and held, its purposes, access/correction and complaint procedures, and likely overseas disclosures.
1. Information We May Collect
Depending upon how you interact with Healing Village, we may collect information including:
-
your name, email address, telephone number and contact details;
-
booking, registration and account information;
-
billing, transaction and payment-related information;
-
communications you send to us;
-
program participation and attendance information;
-
information you voluntarily provide through questionnaires, intake forms, coaching, healing sessions, circles, communities, retreats or other services;
-
preferences, goals, reflections or information relevant to the service you request;
-
technical information associated with use of our website and online services, such as device, browser, IP address, cookies and analytics information; and
-
where reasonably necessary and with appropriate consent, sensitive information, which may include health or wellbeing information relevant to providing a requested service.
We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary for our functions and services.
2. Sensitive and Health Information
Because some Healing Village services relate to wellbeing and complementary healing, you may choose to disclose health or other sensitive information.
Where Australian privacy law requires it, we will seek your consent before collecting sensitive information and will only collect information reasonably necessary for our activities or otherwise permitted by law.
Current OAIC guidance states that organisations generally need consent to collect sensitive information, together with the requirement that the collection be reasonably necessary for their functions or activities.
Please avoid sharing sensitive information in a public or group environment unless you are comfortable doing so.
3. How We Collect Information
We may collect personal information directly from you when you:
register, purchase or book a service; join a Healing Village or Braingame program; complete an intake form or questionnaire; subscribe to communications; contact us; participate in coaching or healing; attend a circle, workshop or retreat; join an online community; or interact with our website.
Information may also be collected through technology and service providers used to operate Healing Village.
4. Why We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
provide and administer the services you request; communicate with you; manage bookings, accounts and payments; personalise or appropriately deliver coaching, healing and educational services; provide program and community access; respond to enquiries; operate and improve our website and programs; maintain appropriate business records; meet legal obligations; manage complaints or disputes; protect our participants and business; and, where permitted, send information about Healing Village services and offerings.
We will not use sensitive information for unrelated marketing merely because you disclosed it during a coaching or healing interaction.
5. Payments
Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.
Healing Village generally does not need to directly hold complete payment-card information where payment information is processed by the relevant payment provider.
The provider processes information according to its own privacy and security practices.
6. Wix, Skool and Other Providers
Healing Village currently uses Wix for its website and may use Skool for Braingame and other online programs and communities.
We may also use providers for payments, email, video conferencing, cloud storage, administration, analytics, communications and similar business functions.
Personal information may therefore be processed or stored using third-party systems.
7. Overseas Processing and Disclosure
Some technology and service providers used by Healing Village may operate, store information or engage service providers outside Australia.
As our providers and their infrastructure may change, the countries involved may also change.
Where required by Australian privacy law, Healing Village will take reasonable steps in relation to overseas disclosures and the protection of personal information.
8. Cookies and Analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enable website functions, understand website usage, remember preferences and improve the user experience.
Third-party services integrated with the website may also use cookies or similar technology in accordance with their own policies.
You may be able to control cookies through your browser and, where available, website consent settings.
9. Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to Healing Village emails or otherwise consent to receive marketing communications, we may contact you about relevant programs, events, services and teachings.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe facility provided or by contacting us.
Administrative communications relating to a service you have purchased are separate from optional marketing communications.
10. Community Privacy
Information you voluntarily post within a Skool community or other group environment may be visible to other members of that community.
We require participants to respect one another's privacy, but Healing Village cannot guarantee the actions of independent participants.
Please consider this before posting sensitive or highly personal information in a group.
11. Photographs and Testimonials
Healing Village will not treat participation in a program as automatic permission to use your personal story, identifiable photograph or testimonial for promotional purposes.
Where appropriate, we will seek permission before publishing identifiable participant testimonials, stories or promotional images.
12. How We Protect Information
We take reasonable steps appropriate to our circumstances to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
No internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide our services, maintain appropriate business records and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where information is no longer required and we are legally permitted to do so, we may securely destroy or de-identify it.
14. Access and Correction
You may request access to personal information Healing Village holds about you or ask us to correct information you believe is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
Please contact:
We may need to verify your identity before responding. There may be circumstances permitted by law where access cannot be provided, in which case we will handle the request in accordance with applicable requirements.
APP 1 specifically requires an APP privacy policy to explain how people can seek access to and correction of their information.
15. Privacy Complaints
If you believe Healing Village has mishandled your personal information, please contact:
Please describe your concern sufficiently for us to investigate it.
We will consider your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable period.
If your concern cannot be resolved directly and Australian privacy law provides you with further complaint rights, you may be able to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

16. Anonymity and Pseudonyms
Where practicable and lawful, you may interact with Healing Village anonymously or using a pseudonym.
However, we may require identifying information where reasonably necessary to process a payment, provide a booked service, maintain appropriate records, ensure participant safety or meet legal obligations.
17. Children and Family Information
Some offerings may involve information concerning a participant's children or other family members.
Please only provide another person's personal information where you are authorised or otherwise entitled to do so.
Where appropriate, Healing Village may require parental or guardian involvement or consent before directly providing services to a minor.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The current version will be available through our website.
We encourage you to review it periodically.
